What's Involved In The 28-Days

Each week you will lay strong foundations that underpin everything in running and life. So many runners dismiss the basics and then wonder why the specifics don't work, but not with us, because here's what you'll be doing...

WEEK 1

SETTING YOURSELF UP TO SUCCEED

  • Set an inspiring 28-day goal that drives you and adds a deeper sense of purpose to your running.
  • Discover how to seamlessly integrate your training into your daily routine - laying the foundation for the running to follow. 
  • Begin working 1-to-1 with your coach to enhance both your running performance and your overall well-being, bringing more energy, focus, and joy to every aspect of your life. 

WEEK 2

BUILDING THE FOUNDATIONS

  • Protect your energy and time, by discovering how to put yourself first, so you can do your best in running and life without compromising other areas.

  • Create a race plan that aligns with your goals, and to ensure you and your coach are on the same page. Let your coach sort the details and enjoy running.
  • Identify your strengths and weaknesses through a full strength assessment to understand where you are at before starting strength and conditioning.

WEEK 3

IMPLEMENTING STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

  • Begin your strength and conditioning sessions, that don’t just enhance your running performance – but  also give you more energy and strength in life.
  • With your coach by your side, you'll begin getting the most out of each run and see faster progress than if you were training alone.
  • With everything taken care of, running and life becomes more fun - enjoy the support of your coach and community.

WEEK 4

CONSOLIDATE YOUR ROUTINE

  • Trust the Process: With your routine set, the hard work is done. Now, enjoy the process as you and your coach work together towards achieving your goals.
  • Review and Plan: During a call with John, you'll reflect on your progress and set a clear plan for the next phase, ensuring that you continue to keep on thriving in both running and life.

Questions You May Have

Why do I have to apply to joing the program?

The application process ensures that this program is the right fit for both of us. Our goal is to support passionate, committed runners over 50 who are ready for real progress in their marathon journey. Through the application form and then call, we can understand your goals and needs, and if we able to provide this for you. By applying, you’ll also have the chance to ask any questions and get a feel for how we work together, so you can make an informed decision about joining the program.

Is the program suitable for all fitness levels?

Absolutely. The program is personalised to your current fitness and experience, and will meet you where you are currently at.

What if I have never worked with a coach before?

Most of our runners are new to coaching. We guide you every step of the way, making it easy to get started. We cannot emphasise strongly enough, that you do not need to have reached a certain standard with your running before working with a coach. As long as you are keen and wanting to improve, then your coaches will be able to help you do exactly that.  

 

All of our coaching is real human to human based, this is a robot / AI free zone! 

How can I fit this all in on top of everything I am already doing?

We understand that life can be busy, especially when balancing work, family, and other commitments. The program is designed with flexibility in mind, specifically for runners over 50. Everything will be structured to fit around your schedule, with manageable sessions that can be adapted to your routine.

 

In all elements of the program, we emphasise quality and purpose over quantity, and by virtue of you now being supported in your journey, you should actually find you have more time and energy to enjoy your running.

Will the program work for someone of my age?

The program is designed specifically for runners over 50, prioritising longevity, consistency, and a safe approach to training. There is also a big emphasis on injury prevention and strength and conditioning. Many of the runners we work with are well into their 60s and 70s, and we will factor this in fully whilst planning your training. 

What kind of support will I recieve? 

You’ll have regular WhatsApp check-ins with your coach and access to a members-only Facebook group for live events, questions, and community support.

 

There is also an online members portal containing program materials, which you’ll receive full access to upon joining.

 

We always say that energy matches energy, meaning that if you are showing up, asking questions, and feeding back regularly - then you'll get the most out of the program. 

Can I join if I have an injury?

Yes, we encourage a ‘can-do’ approach. Even with an injury, there are many ways to make progress and this is exactly what we will help you work towards. Working on strength, mindset, and cross training can all usually still be enhanced when injured. 

What if I don't have a marathon planned yet, when is the best time to start?

Whether you have a race coming up soon or none planned for a while, if you are looking for structure, support, accountability and community to all enhance your running, then there is no better time than now to sign-up. 

 

However - If you do have something imminent or specific planned (e.g a holiday or work trip), we can always move your start date after you sign up to confirm your place. Just let us know and we'll happily work with you on this. 

What happens after the initial 28-days?

Towards the end of the initial 28 days, we’ll review your progress, see how you are getting on with everything and discuss the next steps toward your long-term goals. If the relationship is going well, and we are all happy, then we will discuss with you the next phase of the coaching program. 

What is the investment to join the program?

The coaching program investment is £199, (including VAT) and this covers all coaching, materials, and community events and access.
